My name is Shane Updike, MS, LCAT, and I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State. I provide psychotherapy services at Canalside Therapeutic Arts, working primarily with children and adolescents.

I graduated from Nazareth College with my Master’s degree in Art Therapy in May 2023. Throughout my training and clinical work, I have gained experience supporting individuals with a wide range of psychiatric and emotional needs, drawing from art therapy, play therapy, and traditional talk therapy approaches.

As part of my education, I completed the Rochester Interprofessional Scholars of Early Intervention (RISE) program, which deepened my understanding of collaborative, interdisciplinary care when working with young children and families.

I offer sessions on Saturdays through Canalside Therapeutic Arts as an independently contracted clinician.
